Solar clips are used to secure wire mesh to solar panels. The number of clips needed will depend on the number of solar panels. The clip is designed to protect the integrity of expensive solar arrays. The clips don’t pierce the solar panels and will firmly hold wire mesh screen to the module assembly preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires and birds from building nests under the solar panel. The clips can be ordered separately, not necessary to bound with the mesh together.
Type of Clips
There are mainly two types of clips, one is made of premium aluminum the other is made of UV stable Nylon
Premium Aluminum Fastener Clips (round and square shape)
The advantage of the aluminum clips
Rustproof & Sturdy: Our pest screen hardware clips are made of premium quality aluminum, rust-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. These solar panel wire mesh clips are designed to last in harsh climates and weather changes, ensuring years of corrosion-free sustainability.
Solar Panel Mesh Clips: A set contains self-locking washers and J-hooks. Every washer has been coated with proprietary black paint that resists fading from UV exposure and outdoor elements. The clips are long enough to fit the solar panels and are designed to protect the integrity of solar arrays.
Easy Operation: Our wire mesh clip has a unidirectional washer that slides and locks into place. You can easily trim or bend the solar bird deterrent hooks to secure the screen to the module edge. Washers will firmly hold to the wire mesh screen preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires, and birds from building nests under the solar panels.
Multiple Purposes: The wire panel clips are used to bind the mesh to the panels without drilling holes, secure wire mesh to solar panels. These guard fastener clips are an essential and useful accessory for your solar bird deterrent system to keep all birds out from under solar arrays, protecting the roof, wiring, and equipment from damage.
UV Stable Fastener Clips (round and hexagonal shape)
An innovative system designed specifically to keep birds out from under solar arrays
Patent pending plastic clips are UV stable and won’t scratch anodised frames of solar panels.
Clips recommended every 450mm (18 inches) 2 clips on short edge 3 clips on long edge.
Clips bind the mesh to the panels without drilling holes or damaging the system.
Designed to fit our Solar Panel Mesh (WM132). Nearly invisible from the ground
A new product that is fast easy & highly effective making solar panel exclusion straight forward
A typical solar panel is approximately 1.6m tall and 1m wide, on a typical panel one should use 3 clips on each long edge and 2 clips on each short edge. See the diagram attached to this product listing for more details and an example of a typical installation.
Where to Use: Rooftop solar panel arrays
Target Bird: All species
Bird Pressure: All levels
Material: U.V. stabilized Nylon
Installation: Wire mesh is bound to solar panels using solar panel clips
Expertise Level: Easy
STEP 1: Place clips every 18 inches. Slide the clip onto the edge of the panel support bracket. Slide as far outward as possible so the clip is all the way on the lip of the panel.
STEP 2: Set the wire mesh screen in place. Make sure the fastener rod comes through the screen at an upward angle as to keep downward pressure on the screen, pushing it towards the roof.
STEP 3: Slide the disk onto the shaft of the clip assembly until snug. Make adjustments to the screen as necessary. Tighten the disk to panel edge.
Include a 75mm (3inch) overlap of the mesh when installing the next section.
