Effective July 1, 2025, all solar-panel mesh imports into the European Union must comply with the newly ratified EN 5082 standard, which mandates enhanced corrosion-resistance performance at a minimum of 1,000 hours in neutral salt spray testing and mesh-opening tolerances of ±1 mm to ensure effective bird deterrence across diverse installation profiles. The updated regulation, published in the Official Journal of the EU, reflects growing emphasis on product longevity and safety in regions from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean.

Regulatory Rationale
